Zhejiang Iron Horse Domestic Motor co., Ltd (AIHDM) was founded in 1960. It's former name was Zhejiang domestic motor company. In 1979, AIHDM turned to manufacture motors for home appliances. The second time technology investment made the company and it's products greatly developed and enlarged. AIHDM became the domestic motor base, designated by Light Industry Bureau. In 1985, the company imported some primary equipment from Japan, such as the AIDA high speed punch, TOSHIBA Stator Varnishing equipment, high speed punch dies etc. and assistant equipment, such as Are welding factory, stator gauges, milling lathe etc. In 1994 the light industry bureau designate ZIHDM as countrywide manufacturing base of micro motors. The technical reform project with 3.65 million investments was carried on ZIHDM imported most primary facilities for washer motor and ClamShell motor production line, such as AXIS winding and inserting equipment from Italy, Resin Pack winding machine etc. After twice Equipment Investment, the production capacity reaches 1.5million units per year for washer motor, 0.8million units per year for Clam Shell, 1 million units for Resin Pack motor and 0.3 million units per year for Spinner motor. In 1996, ZIHDM with the worldwide famous motor manufacturer, "Emerson Motor Company" founded a joint venture, Zhejiang Emerson Motor Company (Later it renamed Zhejiang Iron Horse Domestic Motor Company). With the support of St. Louis Technical Center and US experts, ZIHDM armed with most advanced management methods and Inspection facilities. The product quality reaches a higher level and the ability of anticipating the market competition was also greatly boosted up. ZIHDM's products have won lots of awards. In 1994, the Resin Pack motor was listed as the state level new product in the state level new product in the state level primary Technical Reform Projects and won the outstanding industry design award, which was issued by China Light Industry Committee. ZIHDM also won the provincial star compary.

ZIHDM has over 500 employees, among with there are about 60 technicians of different professional area, ZIHDM is about 27000 M2 large. architectural 25000 M2 ZIHDM¡¯S main products are washer motors, ClamShell motor, BPM, Spinner motor. Early in 1980s, ZIHDM has set up a domestic motor research lab. It has high motor design and technical developing abilities, complete inspection facilities, advanced testing methods and rigorous quality assurance system. ZIHDM's products are mainly supplied to Shanghai HITACH, Huangzhou Panasonic, Wuxi Little Swan, Hefei FEIGE etc. In 1994, ZIHDM started to enter into International Market. Motors have been exported to Korea. Argentina, Indonesia, South Africa etc. ZIHDM lies in Nanxun, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Namoun lies to the west of Shanghai and east of Huangzhou and Ninbo. The traffic is extremely convenient.

ZIHDM attach importance to the quality assurance and improvement. Early in 1995, ZIHDM achievel electric products sefety certifying and in 1997 it setup the ISO9001 quality system and obtained the ISO9001 quality system certificate in Oct 1998.
